My classes are for teens (15+) and adults.
3 years online Spanish tutor. If you think you know grammar and vocabulary but you need to practice, this class is for you.

Mauricio is an excellent teacher. He gives me feedback, points out where my mistakes occur, and provides homework to help me learn from my errors. I appreciate that his lessons are geared to my level of Spanish.

I am 35 years old living in the United States and I've had 17 classes with Mauricio so far. I really enjoy having him as my tutor. He is a very patient, understanding and responsive teacher. He always takes time to make sure you understand the topic at hand and ask if you have any doubts or questions. My personal goal was to practice speaking more and we have done exactly that, every exercise we do leads to conversation. I'm spending 100% of each class either speaking or listening completely in Spanish. At first I was very nervous but with time, practice and an excellent teacher my confidence is increasing. I also feel that Mauricio did a great job of assessing my abilities in the beginning and has adjusted as we progress. I enjoy the materials used during our classes as they are structured and centered around real world topics which is key as an adult. Also, each week the lessons provide new grammar and vocabulary to practice. If I had to recommend a teacher for your journey with the Spanish language, I would recommend Mauricio ten times over. He truly seems to have a passion for teaching and wants to see you succeed.

I’m a Spanish teacher in California who essentially learned Spanish through textbooks, but nothing has accelerated my language level than taking one-on-one classes with Mauro. Conversational practice was exactly what I needed, and Mauro happens to be a great teacher. He is professional, intuitive, patient, kind, and knowledgeable. What else could one want? I’m so much more confident whenever I speak now. It’s nice to get that assurance and instant feedback. The material that Mauro uses is also interesting and useful for adults to generally know. I get to converse about things like well-being, lifestyle, travel, family matters, etc. These are topics that interest me. The hours fly, and I always look forward to the next one. Highly recommend.

If you’d like to receive kind and professional feedback on your Spanish, Mauro is the tutor for you. It’s very easy to converse with Mauro because he is a great listener and anticipates your needs, quickly pulling from the various resources he has on hand to enrich the conversation. Every lesson I’ve had with him, there is a short piece of literature that we will read to serve as a talking point for the lesson. The resources are relevant and appropriate for my skill level, and only a good tutor like Mauro can tailor that. Even more, he is knowledgeable and passionate about grammar and linguistics, so I feel confident asking him questions and practicing the conjugations with which I’m uncomfortable. I highly recommend Mauro!
