Hello everyone, 

My name is Anna, and I am a native Greek speaker with fifteen years of tutoring experience! Originally from Corfu, London has been my home for nearly twenty years.

I am a TEFL-certified tutor  and my other studies include a degree in Fashion Design, Office Management & Organisation, Diploma in Health and Social Care (Open University UK), Dyslexia Awareness Certificate, Teaching Assistant Diploma, Anger Management & Life Coaching Diploma, Proofreading & Editing Diploma.

My way of teaching is relaxed, friendly, and conversational; I always work with my students and tailor our lessons to their needs. During our first lesson, I will assess your language level through a friendly chit-chat and we will establish a personalised and goal-oriented teaching method.  

Complete beginners

The initial Greek lessons will focus on the basics; I will teach you how to:

• Read, and understand the sounds of the Greek alphabet and combine syllables to formulate words
• Recognise the genders of the articles, nouns, adjectives etc.
• Greet in Greek. “Kalimera”.
• Have simple conversations, but as we go on, they’ll become more complicated: “Γειά σου, τι κάνεις;” (Geia sou, ti kaneis;)

Greek for holidays 

You may want to learn just enough for your Greek summer break. We will have lessons based on real-life situations such as “how to introduce yourself in Greek”, “order your favourite food or drink”, “ask for directions,”  etc.  

Conversational Greek for intermediate / upper-intermediate level students

Greek for advanced speakers & Exam preparation for the Greek language certification

The lessons will be intense and structured with:

• A lot of grammar activities
• Speaking and listening practice
• Colloquial expressions and idioms
• Discussions on your favourite topics
• Introduction to Greek mythology
• Literature
• Music and plenty more.
