Hi there!  My name is Deborah. I’m a native English speaker from the US, and I create customized lessons based on your level, goals, interests and learning style.

My #1 priority is to provide a warm, supportive atmosphere where you’ll feel comfortable to speak. I think that a communicative approach is key to language learning. I’ll be sure to give you plenty of opportunities to practice speaking, so that you’ll be able to find your words and express yourself confidently outside of class.

My other top priority is to learn, over time, how to craft sessions that will be both fun and productive for you.  Language learning should be pleasantly challenging. If the material is too easy, you’ll be bored. If it’s too hard, you’ll be overwhelmed. It’s my job to find “just the right amount of challenge” for you. I want you to enjoy and look forward to our sessions. After all, the “best” approach for you will be the one that you choose to stick with for the long-term.
