Ciao! My name is Federica and I am a teacher from Florence, a city of arts, the cradle of Renaissance and the Italian language. I have 9 years of experience in sharing our beautiful language and culture with students from all over the world!
I am a teacher but also a traveler and a language learner. I have lived and traveled in many countries and speak English, Russian, French, Spanish, and a bit of Hindy and Swahili. I have a background in classical studies, a University degree in education and later I specialized in teaching Italian as a foreign language My lessons are professionally structured.
The format of the lessons and the learning content that I will provide is individually tailored to the student’s language level and learning needs. With me, you can learn Italian from the very basics to fluency, practice conversation, and prepare for all certification exams (CELI, CILS, B1 for citizenship). During the class I will share a Google Doc that we will use as an interactive whiteboard, there I will paste screenshots of different activities, extracted from modern textbooks or edited by me. I will also share audio files and videos.

This was my fortieth lesson with Federica, which perhaps tends to demonstrate that I am well satisfied with her teaching abilities. She is patient and introduces new topics at a pace to suit me, as an older student of 68. She builds my confidence and gives me lots of practice exercises via Googledocs on Skype. She is also very flexible if, from time to time, I have to postpone our regular weekly lesson.

Federica is an outstanding teacher. I'm from the US, and travel to Italy as often as possible, as Italy is the greatest country in the world. I'm keen to learn Italian, and just getting started. With just two lessons, I've learned far more than I ever learned while trying to use apps on my phone. Federica is clear, patient and a pleasure.
