I have extensive experience in coaching and business, having run my own sports coaching business for 20 years.  I teach conversational English on a thematic basis (topic-related) with an emphasis on correct grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. I also teach Business English (job interviews, negotiation, presentations, time management, meetings etc). I prepare students for IELTS and TOEFL exams.  

All my lessons are specifically tailored to the individual student's needs and interests, and we work at your pace. Most language learners are working at different levels in the four pillars of reading, writing, listening and speaking, which is why private one-to-one lessons with a sympathetic teacher are so valuable. You will see an improvement in a very short time once you commit to a structured programme of learning. Homework is optional, but recommended.          

I live in the South West of England, and I have a standard British accent. I speak Spanish fluently and a little French. I have spent 10 years learning Spanish so I know what it is like to lack confidence and to feel that you can't remember anything under pressure. But I also know what a joy it is to be able to communicate effectively.  It is also why I love teaching because I meet people from all over the world and I learn so much about other cultures and countries. 

In my spare time, I enjoy walking, reading, cooking and riding my motorbike!

Hi there! I'm teacher Dio and I have been a teacher for over a decade. I love what I do - I am passionate about languages. I speak 3 languages (Portuguese, Spanish and of course, English). I've lived in Germany, Ireland, and I just recently moved to Spain. I am telling you this because that means I KNOW how learning a language works.  

Something that is important to know is that you DON'T need to live in an English-speaking country to learn English effectively. Everything really is all about you taking some minutes of your day to study and to surround yourself with the language! I am a certified teacher and my experience over the years shows that you don't need to be brilliant, you just need to be committed in order to learn another language.

Some other info about me:

I am certified by the Cambridge University (CELTA), and I also hold a TEFL Certificate. I have been teaching English for over 10 years, and I have helped students from all around the world. Currently I offer two main courses:

- CONVERSATIONAL ENGLISH - This course focuses on fluency, pronunciation, learning a lot of new vocabulary and preparing presentations about different topics! - There are lots of different topics and you can choose from!

- IELTS & FCE/CAE EXAM PREPARATION - I have a 25-lesson course that will teach you EVERYTHING you need to know to pass the IELTS/CAE exams with flying colors! - In addition to that, I have a lot of extra materials you can use to improve your grammar and writing skills!  

If your English level isn't very high, we can also discuss a course that will be aimed to give you a solid base so that you feel confident to express yourself in English.

Hello, I'm teacher Kelly and I'm a native English speaker from the UK. 

I completed my TEFL in Asia and have over 6 years teaching experience with kids and adults from a combination of working in schools and online. My students tell me I have a clear and neutral accent that is easy to understand. They often comment on my relaxed and fun energy in my lessons. 

When working with children I create vibrant and interactive lessons that include phonics, writing & reading. After each class a worksheet or activity can be given. When working with adults I also like to create fun lessons. Learning grammar is stressful and I like to focus more on conversation and simplified explanations. We learn about phrasal verbs, idioms and lots of other things a new learner should need to be able to understand and speak like a native. 

As a teacher I believe it is important to make the students feel comfortable and give them a safe space to learn and not to be afraid to make mistakes. Learning a new language is not easy it takes time and dedication, I understand this and try to build the students confidence as much as possible.

I am a professional English teacher with more than 30 years of teaching experience mainly in US - NYC and UK - East Midlands. Initially as a college English and Maths teacher, these days I teach online. My learners are students who tend to improve their school grades, students who are preparing for international exams, business professionals who work or intend to work for international companies or people who learn English for pleasure.  For every individual I usually prepare some tasks for a free talk, grammar practice or a role-play situation with targeting vocabulary and phrases. Hello, my name is Karl. I was born and raised in Connecticut, USA, and am a native English speaker. I like to spend my time reading, studying history and economics and learning languages. 

My experience: I've worked as a private tutor since 2019, and I currently work in a German high school teaching English. I'm a graduate student studying for my Master's Degree in Teaching English as a Second Language. I've worked with many students from around the world, all with different goals, skill levels and interests.

What I teach: What I teach depends on your needs, but my core areas are writing, reading comprehension and grammar. I also love working on pronunciation with students, and I use my knowledge of foreign languages and linguistics to facilitate this.
 

What my lessons look like: While the lesson content and structure depend on you, I like to start by reviewing homework that I assign after lessons with the student, and then move on to the lesson itself, which can either be something I prepare beforehand or we can address questions that come to you in the moment. With me, English learning doesn't have to be stressful, so however much work you can handle is what we will do!
