About Me:
I have a degree in Brain & Cognitive Sciences from MIT, one of the premier research institutions in the world, and I am very familiar with the academic world in the US. I have an extensive background in non-profit organization management, especially in grassroots movements and education-related work. I've also worked as a writing consultant and math tutor/teacher. I speak Spanish at an intermediate level and Mandarin at a beginner level. I love connecting with people across cultures and building bridges between them.

I am also interested in morality & ethics in STEM fields, travel, linguistics, spoken word poetry, music composition, history & cultural studies, faith & spirituality, racial justice & reconciliation, and the NBA...I love basketball.

Hi there! I'm teacher Dio and I have been a teacher for over a decade. I love what I do - I am passionate about languages. I speak 3 languages (Portuguese, Spanish and of course, English). I've lived in Germany, Ireland, and I just recently moved to Spain. I am telling you this because that means I KNOW how learning a language works.  

Something that is important to know is that you DON'T need to live in an English-speaking country to learn English effectively. Everything really is all about you taking some minutes of your day to study and to surround yourself with the language! I am a certified teacher and my experience over the years shows that you don't need to be brilliant, you just need to be committed in order to learn another language.

I am certified by the Cambridge University (CELTA), and I also hold a TEFL Certificate. I have been teaching English for over 10 years, and I have helped students from all around the world. Currently I offer two main courses:

- CONVERSATIONAL ENGLISH - This course focuses on fluency, pronunciation, learning a lot of new vocabulary and preparing presentations about different topics! - There are lots of different topics and you can choose from!

- IELTS & FCE/CAE EXAM PREPARATION - I have a 25-lesson course that will teach you EVERYTHING you need to know to pass the IELTS/CAE exams with flying colors! - In addition to that, I have a lot of extra materials you can use to improve your grammar and writing skills!  

If your English level isn't very high, we can also discuss a course that will be aimed to give you a solid base so that you feel confident to express yourself in English.

My name is Ali and I am an IELTS teacher. Teaching IELTS is actually my passion. I have been teaching English since 2002, but in 2009 I decided to focus exclusively on IELTS and since then I have just trained my students for this exam. During these years, I have endeavoured to help my students develop the necessary English language skills to be successful in their future business and particularly university setting. I am also proud of providing the best teaching methods for my students to help them get their IELTS score as soon as possible.

Do you need English for your work, a job interview, or life in an English-speaking country? Do you want to speak English with more confidence? I'm Iren, and I offer speaking lessons for adults.  My conversation lessons focus on one topic per session, like health, work, meals, money, transportation, and other topics you are interested in. Before the lesson, I will give you an article (from english-online.net or another online source) about the topic for you to study to prepare. In the conversation lesson, we will talk about the topic. You will expand your English vocabulary with my suggestions.  You will review spoken grammar when you use it in the conversation and receive my constant feedback.  I will explain the grammar point if needed.  You will leave the lesson with many notes and some exercises to study further. 

I have four years of experience teaching adults English as a Second Language using this method.  I know that it builds your vocabulary, your grammar knowledge, your pronunciation skills, and your confidence.   I also have a TEFL certificate from the University of Toronto.
