Hello, how are you? My name is Sylvain, I'm 30 and from Belgium. I currently live in São Paulo, Brazil with my wife. I have a degree in management, but I've been working as a French teacher since I arrived in Brazil.
I did a university exchange in Chile, which helped me learn Spanish. I'm a curious person and I'm interested in almost every topic, but I particularly like talking about the economy, politics, technology and cultural differences between countries. After arriving in Brazil, an opportunity came up for me to work as a French teacher in a school for adults, where I worked for the first two years. After that, I decided to become self-employed and concentrate on one-to-one, in-company and online teaching. Today, I have students of all levels with different objectives (work, travel, pleasure, French language maintenance, diplomacy etc.) and I love it when they are satisfied and see themselves progressing. On top of that, I find it very interesting to be able to talk to people with different profiles, backgrounds and histories.
We will define the material to be used according to your specific needs. We'll work with a variety of materials such as:
-French language methods (Défi, Tout va bien, Alter Ego, etc.)
-Grammar/vocabulary books covering general themes or more specific to your objectives
-Recent articles, videos and audios on current topics
-Speaking or conversational exercices
-Test preparation
In addition, I try to stimulate the student to talk about different themes that are important to him/her.

For me, learning is practicing, doing, imitating, and acting.
Speaking with a native French speaker is the easier way to get comfortable with the slang, intonation, and mannerisms.
I'm here to give you an awesome pronunciation, a fluid spoken, giving you more vocabulary and I’ll be really focusing on how to make you be more fluent and comfortable to speak this beautiful language.
My name is Léah, I am 24 years old and I am a French native, born and raised in the South of France, in Toulouse.
I also speak Spanish, English, and Portuguese and I've been teaching French for 3 years now.
So if you are ready to learn while having fun, send me a message, and let’s start!:)

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to check my profile !
As a teacher, I’m very patient and caring. My goal is to provide you with a comfortable environment where we will turn any mistakes into a learning opportunity.
Lessons I teach :
1- Conversation classes
2- TEF Canada/ TCF Canada exam preparation classes : Speaking & Writing
3- French for beginners
In conversation classes, I’ll give you plenty of time to speak and I will provide you with detailed feedback that will help you get a better understanding of the use of French. I choose topics we can talk about during and plan lessons around them. However, you are very welcome to choose topics that fit your own interests.
For exam preparation classes, I will focus on improving your writing and speaking skills to help you reach the score you aim at. I have helped many students get the B2+ and more in TEF and TCF Canada exams.
As for beginners classes, we can use a manual or have informal classes.

Hello,
🇨🇦 I am a French-speaking Quebecer and I have been a teacher of French as a Foreign Language for several years. I teach online in different language schools and web platforms. I offer dynamic and playful classes where conversation and fun are the order of the day!
✈️ In addition to teaching, I work in translation, tutoring and responsible tourism. I am a digital nomad and I have been traveling the world for a few years. I am passionate about travel, outdoors, social dancing, cooking, personal development, culture and of course linguistics and learning!
👩🏻🏫 My teaching methods are very varied and focused on the practical and participative approach. We will cover grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, and linguistic idiosyncrasies which we will practice in conversation activities.
🎯 My main goal is to create a comfortable and fun environment that helps one gain fluency and confidence with the language. All mistakes are welcome, as they are fundamental to the learning process and an opportunity to learn something new! Whether it's for a trip, a move abroad, a professional project or just personal curiosity, I adapt to the level and needs of each learner.
🗓️ My availability is flexible and variable. For organizational purposes, you will find only one time slot available on my calendar, but I am available Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm (EST). However, write to me and I will be happy to answer your questions and set up a personalized schedule with you.

I’m a native French speaker also fluent in English. I have a degree in psychology focused on Education. I started teaching French to kids from immigrant parents in France via a charity and I loved it ! In addition to two years experience with this project, I've been teaching French online for a year. I have students from all over the world with different levels, goals, and interests. I always adapt my teaching style to each of them to make classes interesting and personalized. I like to use English as little as possible and encourage communication in French.

Hi ! I am Charlotte !
I am a native french speaker and a graduated French teacher !
If you want to learn french or to improve your french skills, you are in the right place 😉
What I teach 📚:
How I teach 👩🏫:
I like to create lessons around a theme (the news, french events, everyday life, ...), this way I can gather different activities around it.
For example, we will start with a few questions about the theme, then gather vocabulary and read a text or watch a video about it. Afterward you will have a few questions to answer about the doct to iniciate a discussion about it. I always write your answers on the document to add corrections (if necessary) and to give you gentle feedback without interrupting you. Sometimes, I also like to implement speaking games at the end of the lesson so you can talk french in a more independent and ludic way !
Resources 📝:
I usually use Google Docs and/or Powerpoint for my lessons, according to what I am going to teach (for example if I need to share a digital media with you, I will put it on your personal Google Doct). Each student has his own Google Doct that we use for each lesson. I usually send you the link to your Doct after our first lesson !
Qualifications 💼:
I graduated my FLE master's degree, I also have a BA degree in French language and literature and a BA degree in English language, literature, foreign and regional civilisation.

Bonjour!
I’m Yousra and I am a French tutor with more than 200 hours experience teaching online :D
Do you know that I’ve been practicing French for 18 years :D It’s because I spent my entire academic and university’s career in French.
Today, I’m here to help you learning French, starting by clarifying your learning needs and setting short and long term goals.
I will provide you with courses that match with your specific needs and interests, whether to develop your communication, your writing skills, or even to learn the basics of the French language. Also, in order to make our courses rich and varied, we will use a variety of materials, such as texts, articles, videos, audio notes, etc. Moreover, I can assign you some exercises that will help you to consolidate your learnings.
And since I care about your improvement :D I will also share with you some tips that you can do everyday in order to keep practicing French even outside the class :)
Can't wait to meet you in our first class!
Yousra,
See Reviews From StudentsIf you're really not keen on learning with a teacher via video call, LanguaTalk isn't going to be the right choice for you. You can instead search for a tutor on a local service listing website, or put up an advert in your local area. We do encourage you to give it a try learning online though - you've got nothing to lose as you can book a free trial session. Most people find the experience is as good as learning face-to-face, but with the benefit of having access to better tutors at a lower cost.
Sometimes students tell us that they're not sure about learning French online because they think it’ll be completely different to learning face-to-face. But usually when they try it, they find that the experience is almost the same and they often build a solid relationship with their tutor.
Once you start a video call with your chosen tutor, you’ll be able to communicate with them as if you were in the same room. The tutor will typically also share learning resources with you (newspaper articles, YouTube, etc.) and you’ll be able to collaborate in real-time using a tool like Google Docs or Dropbox Paper.
Whether you live in the city centre or the suburbs of Singapore, there are many options for learning French. You could use an app or a software program if you're looking to pick up basic vocabulary and learn some grammar rules. Alternatively, you could attend group lessons with French tutors in Singapore if you're keen for a social experience. Or, you could take 1-on-1 lessons with a private tutor. This isn't the cheapest way to learn a language but it's possibly the most effective, assuming you have a good tutor. Learning online rather than face-to-face may make private tutors a more affordable option. Check the tutor profiles above to see how much it's likely to cost. Prices vary a lot depending on the tutor, but will usually be cheaper than learning with a French tutor in Singapore, face-to-face.
Our research suggests that the average cost for private French lessons in Singapore is somewhere between $25-$35 per hour. As online tutors do not need to travel to you and they often live in countries with a lower cost of living, the hourly cost tends to be significantly lower.
Tutors on LanguaTalk sometimes provide lessons locally, but most only provide online lessons as it is more convenient and allows them to work from home. In addition, most tutors are not teaching French in Singapore because they're living elsewhere in the world. If you decide to book with a tutor, you should assume that they can only teach you online.
On LanguaTalk, you can find exceptional tutors for 1-on-1 French lessons tailored to your goals and learning preferences. Here’s how to try it for yourself:
1 - Find your ideal tutor by browsing videos, reviews, pricing and availability.
2 - Book a trial. Many tutors offer a 30-minute trial for free; others charge a discounted price.
3 - Take personalised lessons with your new tutor via video call. Or try someone else.
No card is required to book a free trial session. Please only book if you're considering taking lessons. Pricing varies by tutor and you can use the filter to find someone who fits your budget. You can pay one lesson at a time, or buy in bulk for a discount (open a tutor's profile to see their pricing options).
We’re confident you’ll love learning via LanguaTalk. We're trusted by students all over the world because we're transparent. We ask students to rate each lesson, and we display reviews on tutors’ profiles.
99.8% of lesson ratings are 5 stars. Why? Because unlike other platforms, we accept only the top 10% of tutor applications.
To see our full FAQs or get help from our friendly team, click the 'Help' button in the bottom-right. You can also watch students talking about their experiences learning via LanguaTalk below.
The vast majority of students take 55-minute lessons. But some tutors also provide the option of 30-minute lessons. If they do, you’ll see this noted on their profile (below their pricing and above the ‘Buy Lessons’ button).
55-minute lessons are recommended for most students. In general, we only suggest considering 30-minute lessons if they’re for your child, or you have an intermediate level and only want conversation practice.
Lessons are taught 1-on-1 so that you receive your tutor’s full attention and can make fast progress. Communicating via video call, you’ll be able to talk to your tutor and share learning materials as if you were in the same room.
The tutors vary in terms of their teaching methods, resources, experiences, and personalities. So we suggest you look at several profiles to choose the best tutor for you. Whichever French tutor you pick, they'll aim to tailor the lessons to your individual needs.
The beauty of taking lessons online is that you can learn anytime, anywhere. When you choose a tutor, just check their calendar to make sure that they have available times that fit your schedule. Some tutors have limited availability as they already have a lot of students.
New to LanguaTalk? We'll give you a credit for a free trial session. Many, but not all, tutors offer these for free. If they do not, the price will be just 30 percent of their full lesson price, so you can still try a session at minimal cost.
Trial sessions last 30 minutes. They allow you to assess whether the tutor is a good fit for you, and get a feel for learning online. The tutor will assess your level and aim to understand your needs and interests so that they can customise any lessons you decide to take. You'll be encouraged to speak in French as much as possible, but of course you can speak in English too!
If, after your trial session, you don't feel that the tutor is quite right for you, you can book a trial with another tutor for just 30 percent of their full lesson price.
