Ciao! My name is Mauro, I am native Italian from Calabria! I studied International Relations at Bologna University, then I moved to Padua, for a PhD in History of Political Thought. I currently live in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I love running, Mozart, tango (I'm trying to improve my dancing abilities...), cook, and culture.
I am a very passionate teacher, I love to share my language and my knowledge about Italy, and its culture, films, music, literature, arts, food!!! I firmly believe that learning is based on trust between teacher and student, and the first objective of my classes is to individuate student's objectives and preferences.
My teaching methodology is integrated: I think that it is important to work on all of linguistic abilities: oral and writing comprehension and production. I also think that lessons must be as much as fun as possible, and I use a lot of authentic material: songs, films, cooking recipes, newspapers, advertising and so on...

I have a teacher in Lettere Moderne and I'm certified to teach Italian language to foreigners. I've been teaching for 5 years non-stop and I've experimented with many methods of teaching. I consider myself a perennial student. I speak English, Spanish and French, I can translate Latin and I love history and philosophy. I use a communicative approach but I deem grammar essential, that's why I prefer to alternate exercises, reading and creative games. In my free time, I write, I watch movies and I practice sport. I also enjoy playing my guitar and playing chess.
Chi ben comincia è a metà dell'opera...

About me — My name’s Filippo. I’m a native speaker of Italian and live in Rome. I hold the DITALS I certificate, i.e., the license for the Teaching of Italian as a Foreign Language issued by the University for Foreigners of Siena. I can also speak English and am very fond of British English phonology. I have two degrees, one in philosophy and the other in religious studies, and taught in secondary schools in Rome for 21 years. I mainly speak standard Italian or, as linguists would say, “Tuscan Italian as spoken by Roman citizens”, i.e., the Italian language as historically spoken in Florence, without its peculiar local features.
My lessons (a broad overview) — If you’re already attending an Italian language course or are a self-taught student, I'll be your go-to person for any further explanations and corrections, as complement to your personal journey to learning Italian. I can also provide topic-focused speaking classes on topics of your choice or mutual agreement, as well as offering help for exams preparation for language certificates of all levels (A1 – C2). If, on the contrary, you're looking for more structured classes as part of a broader and comprehensive Italian language course, I'll be very happy to guide you and provide you with all the necessary relevant materials.
My topic-focused speaking classes (a specific example) — At latest one day before class, I'll send you a list of key words and expressions that will help you prepare for the topic of conversation. We’ll always start our lessons by describing, analyzing and contrasting visual inputs (images and photos) in order to develop your communication skills. We will also look at one or two texts on the topic in order to enrich the specific vocabulary in use and the conversation itself. Infographics, as well as quotes from some personalities who have expressed their view on the topic, are also integral parts of the lessons. During the conversation I'll assess your oral production (pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar) and you'll receive my feedback to help you progress in this area.

Hi! My name is Martina and I am a language enthusiast who loves to teach and learn foreign languages!
My passion for languages started very early when I moved abroad during high school.
After working for a few years in a different industry I decided to follow my passion and it became my full time profession. I am certified Italian tutor (CEDILS certification) as well as a certified English tutor (TEFL certification).
I adapt my teaching approach to each single student, depending on the student’s needs, goals and time to study. I also adapt to the student’s most comfortable learning method, even though I always make sure to use different tools during the classes for a more complete approach (such as listening, reading, speaking, watching videos, completing exercises etc.).
My lessons involve speaking since the very beginning to slowly acquire fluency.
I am super patient and my classes are a safe space for students where they can feel comfortable when they make mistakes: we can work together to improve every time, language learning is a process!
I look forward to meeting you! :)

I create customized lessons based on your needs and interests. I will provide you with all the material you need and I will focus on the reading and listening comprehension with the beginners (so they can start to become acquainted with the Italian language) and on conversation and fluency with the intermediate/advanced ones. Grammatical elements will be introduced as you work on your reading, listening and speaking: in this way you will learn about the language structures more naturally. During the first lesson I will give you a placement test (in order to find out your language level) and we will set the goals of the course together.
I would describe myself as a patient and helpful tutor. I have many years of experience in giving one-to-one lessons to students of any age, I love my job and having the chance to know other cultures!

With over a decade of experience, I've had the pleasure of teaching Italian to passionate learners from all around the world. From Tokyo to Moscow, to my time at the prestigious "Istituto Venezia" in enchanting Venice, I've refined my expertise in delivering exceptional Italian classes for both beginners and advanced learners.
My teaching approach revolves around fostering communication and immersing you in real-life situations. We won't simply focus on memorizing words; instead, we'll dive into authentic conversations and help you conquer the question of "what do I say in this situation?"
If you're starting from scratch, fret not! My teaching approach ensures that you won't be thrown into speaking Italian right away. Instead, we'll embark on a journey where you'll gradually build a solid foundation in the language, developing your listening and reading skills.
In my lessons, I prioritize creating a grammar-light environment while emphasizing immersion and conversation. However, I recognize the challenges posed by certain grammatical concepts. Therefore, I'm ready to switch to English whenever needed, offering clear explanations for complex grammar topics.
But that's not all: as a pronunciation coach, I hold the key to helping you shed your mother-tongue accent and embrace the melodic sounds of Italian. By mastering the subtle nuances of Italian intonation and pronunciation, we'll unlock the full potential of your language skills.
Join me on this awesome language-learning adventure! Together, we'll make Italian an integral part of your life, revealing the richness of its culture and the joy of connecting with its people.

Hi, I am Eleonora and I am from Italy (near Venice).
With me, you can improve your conversational Italian. I have more than 6 years of experience tutoring students with different levels of Italian. Some of them were beginners when they started and they managed to reach a good level of Italian after a few months. I also helped more experienced students with their university exams or thesis. So, even if my classes here focus more on spoken Italian when there is a need, we can improve your written and academic Italian.
My classes are personalized according to your needs, level of language, individual interests, and goals. During the classes, you will improve and learn new vocabulary and grammar. The classes are always different and we will use material such as songs, online videos, news, and literature text to help facilitate the conversation and your learning. It would be nice to have a cultural exchange so you can get to learn more about Italian Culture, its History, and its traditions. My students are of different nationalities and backgrounds giving me the chance to keep on learning myself. Personally, I speak fluently French and a bit of German, while I am currently learning Swedish.
I look forward to meeting you!
Ciao,
Ele

Ciao a tutti! I'm Deborah and I'm an Italian tutor. I graduated cum laude in 2021 and I've got 3 years of experience in tutoring. In 2021 I worked as private tutor in France and Portugal.
I love to keep up to date on language teaching to give students the best experience. Recently I wrote an article about teaching Italian to foreign students through a very innovative method: the silent book.
My philosophy is: learn a language, have fun!
If you're looking for language lessons specifically tailored to your needs, you're in the right place! My lessons are different according to age, need, interests, your mother tongue, your language level. Having your own path of study specifically drawn for you means studying with no worries about mistakes, with fun, and with the certainty of obtaining the desired results!

Ciao!
I'm Sara and I'm an Italian teacher with more than 8 years experience teaching this wonderful language!
I began teaching when I was studying my Bachelor's degree (che bei tempi!) ... I started almost as a joke but I realized soon that I actually liked this profession and, after so many years, I still feel the same!
Throughout the years I had the opportunity to work with a variety of students and each of them taught me a lot: every teaching experience is unique and this is why I love it.
That being said, maybe you would like to know something more about how I work.
I usually offer a free trial lesson, where I like to get to know my students better and understand their needs, goals and interests.
This helps me not only to build a tailor made learning path, which is shared and discussed with the student, but also to select the material and the topics that best suit each person.
If I had to choose my strongest point, I would definitely say that it is the kind of relationship I establish with my students: open and informal to make learning easier and to fully enjoy the experience.

Sometimes students tell us that they're not sure about learning Italian online because they think it’ll be completely different to learning face-to-face. But usually when they try it, they find that the experience is almost the same and they often build a solid relationship with their tutor.
Once you start a video call with your chosen tutor, you’ll be able to communicate with them as if you were in the same room. The tutor will typically also share learning resources with you (newspaper articles, YouTube, etc.) and you’ll be able to collaborate in real-time using a tool like Google Docs or Dropbox Paper.
Whether you live in the city centre or the suburbs of Dallas, there are many options for learning Italian. You could use an app or a software program if you're looking to pick up basic vocabulary and learn some grammar rules. Alternatively, you could attend group lessons with Italian tutors in Dallas if you're keen for a social experience. Or, you could take 1-on-1 lessons with a private tutor. This isn't the cheapest way to learn a language but it's possibly the most effective, assuming you have a good tutor. Learning online rather than face-to-face may make private tutors a more affordable option. Check the tutor profiles above to see how much it's likely to cost. Prices vary a lot depending on the tutor, but will usually be cheaper than learning with an Italian tutor in Dallas, face-to-face.
If you're really not keen on learning with a teacher via video call, LanguaTalk isn't going to be the right choice for you. You can instead search for a tutor on a local service listing website, or put up an advert in your local area. We do encourage you to give it a try learning online though - you've got nothing to lose as you can book a free trial session. Most people find the experience is as good as learning face-to-face, but with the benefit of having access to better tutors at a lower cost.
Tutors on LanguaTalk sometimes provide lessons locally, but most only provide online lessons as it is more convenient and allows them to work from home. In addition, most tutors are not teaching Italian in Dallas because they're living elsewhere in the world. If you decide to book with a tutor, you should assume that they can only teach you online.
Our research suggests that the average cost for private Italian lessons in Dallas is somewhere between $25-$35 per hour. As online tutors do not need to travel to you and they often live in countries with a lower cost of living, the hourly cost tends to be significantly lower.
On LanguaTalk, you can find exceptional tutors for 1-on-1 Italian lessons tailored to your goals and learning preferences. Here’s how to try it for yourself:
1 - Find your ideal tutor by browsing videos, reviews, pricing and availability.
2 - Book a trial. Many tutors offer a 30-minute trial for free; others charge a discounted price.
3 - Take personalised lessons with your new tutor via video call. Or try someone else.
No card is required to book a free trial session. Please only book if you're considering taking lessons. Pricing varies by tutor and you can use the filter to find someone who fits your budget. You can pay one lesson at a time, or buy in bulk for a discount (open a tutor's profile to see their pricing options).
We’re confident you’ll love learning via LanguaTalk. We're trusted by students all over the world because we're transparent. We ask students to rate each lesson, and we display reviews on tutors’ profiles.
99.8% of lesson ratings are 5 stars. Why? Because unlike other platforms, we accept only the top 10% of tutor applications.
To see our full FAQs or get help from our friendly team, click the 'Help' button in the bottom-right. You can also watch students talking about their experiences learning via LanguaTalk below.
The vast majority of students take 55-minute lessons. But some tutors also provide the option of 30-minute lessons. If they do, you’ll see this noted on their profile (below their pricing and above the ‘Buy Lessons’ button).
55-minute lessons are recommended for most students. In general, we only suggest considering 30-minute lessons if they’re for your child, or you have an intermediate level and only want conversation practice.
New to LanguaTalk? We'll give you a credit for a free trial session. Many, but not all, tutors offer these for free. If they do not, the price will be just 30 percent of their full lesson price, so you can still try a session at minimal cost.
Trial sessions last 30 minutes. They allow you to assess whether the tutor is a good fit for you, and get a feel for learning online. The tutor will assess your level and aim to understand your needs and interests so that they can customise any lessons you decide to take. You'll be encouraged to speak in Italian as much as possible, but of course you can speak in English too!
If, after your trial session, you don't feel that the tutor is quite right for you, you can book a trial with another tutor for just 30 percent of their full lesson price.
Lessons are taught 1-on-1 so that you receive your tutor’s full attention and can make fast progress. Communicating via video call, you’ll be able to talk to your tutor and share learning materials as if you were in the same room.
The tutors vary in terms of their teaching methods, resources, experiences, and personalities. So we suggest you look at several profiles to choose the best tutor for you. Whichever Italian tutor you pick, they'll aim to tailor the lessons to your individual needs.
The beauty of taking lessons online is that you can learn anytime, anywhere. When you choose a tutor, just check their calendar to make sure that they have available times that fit your schedule. Some tutors have limited availability as they already have a lot of students.
