I have 3 years of teaching experience. I majored in Languages from Universidad de las Américas Puebla and I obtained a certification to teach Spanish as a foreign language. My classes use a blended methodology that incorporates grammar and communication activities in a laid-back and dynamic way. I have hand picked or created all the materials according to the needs of my students and I often use resources like audios, videos and games to make the lesson more interactive. My main goal is to help my students feel confortable expressing themselves and learn at their own pace.

Hello! I am Monica and I am a certified Spanish teacher with more than 7 years experience teaching Spanish to people from all over the world.

I have many hours of teaching experience, as from 2016 to 2019 I worked in a Spanish academy in my home city, Medellín, where I worked 40 hours per week teaching Spanish as a foreign language; I had 1-to-1 sessions and also groups of up to 6 students; the classes were amazing and I loved the experience since I could meet people from a range of cultures, thanks to that I realized that there are extraordinary people from every corner of the world.

Since 2019 I have been working as an online Spanish teacher and now I am living in the UK, studying a master's degree and dedicating free time to my favourite hobbies: Cooking, salsa dancing and swimming.

My lessons are planned to be enjoyable and comfortable. I'm from Ecuador but I'm currently living in the Netherlands.  I've been teaching both English and Spanish for 15 years. 

Teaching is something I'm really passionate about. I'm totally convinced that learning a new language should be fun and not only focused on grammar structures and boring rules.

You're going to learn Spanish through games, dialogues, role plays, videos and any kind of interactive and communicative activity you can think of.

I hold a teaching degree on English as a Foreign Language and a Master's Degree on English and Applied Linguistics. Although, these degrees are related to English teaching, they have helped me develop teaching methods to teach Spanish effectively and interactively as well.
