Hi, I’m Liz. I’m a native English speaker and I have spent most of my life living and working in London, England.

I have a CELTA qualification for teaching English as a foreign language, and I also have a BA in English Literature from a central London university.

My teaching experience has been predominately online in 1-2-1 lessons, but I also have experience teaching in person to groups of children at language camp in the UK.

I'm Iren, and I offer speaking lessons for adults.  My conversation lessons focus on one topic per session, like health, work, meals, money, transportation, and other topics you are interested in. Before the lesson, I will give you an article (from english-online.net or another online source) about the topic for you to study to prepare. In the conversation lesson, we will talk about the topic. You will expand your English vocabulary with my suggestions.  You will review spoken grammar when you use it in the conversation and receive my constant feedback.  I will explain the grammar point if needed.  You will leave the lesson with many notes and some exercises to study further.

About me:

I’m Diana, a friendly and patient English teacher from the beautiful city of Cape Town currently living in Portugal. In 2017, I completed my TESOL and TEYLT trainings and since then I have worked with students from all around the world both in language schools and online. I have lived and taught English in 5 different countries (Spain, Portugal, Indonesia, Turkey and South Africa) to students of all levels (beginners to advanced). In 2021, I became certified to teach Ielts and have thus helped numerous students with  their exam preparations too.

I'm passionate about learning and teaching languages and have studied Portuguese, Spanish, German and Turkish. Through my own language studies, I have learnt that an active conversational approach is the best way to master a language! Some of my other passions include yoga, travel, food and art!:)

My approach to teaching depends a lot on the level and goals of the student. Each student is unique with different necessities so I don’t have a one size fits all proposition. Lessons are tailored to you and are adapted as you progress.Expect to receive a lot of feedback, corrections and if you would like, homework activities.
