I’m new to the process of learning languages, but prefer a more structured approach when it comes to learning. I can definitely say that Mr. Song has been the most consistent and grounded tutors that I dealt with while evaluating others during the trial lessons. I love that he teaches from a textbook and provides homework (with flexible due dates) to reinforce the basics of grammar, sentence structure, and conversational phrases. His initial handouts provides lots of practice for students to become comfortable with writing the Hangul alphabet. Each class will end with two sets of notes: formal notes for the target grammar and how to understand topic sentences/phrases, and notes specifically geared for your questions/comments asked during class. He will also answer any side questions regarding Korean culture, even if it’s not geared towards the lesson topic. All of the vocabulary, grammar, and culture topics builds upon the previous lessons, but he teaches at whatever pace is comfortable for you and will review any questions prior to moving on. I definitely recommend Mr. Song if you prefer a practical approach to learning compared to all “unique ideas” for language learning, which can be all over the place!!

I tried a few teachers because I wanted to be sure to find the right teaching style and for me, and I have been very happy with 송경섭 선생님. He is extremely patient. His lessons are thorough, with lots of grammar explanations and interesting cultural lessons. He complements the text with detailed notes and diagrams that are sent right after every lesson. I can tell that he’s a very experienced teacher who customizes his lessons for any type of student and any experience level. I wanted a bit more grammar and conjugating and a bit more conversation, so his classes are perfect for me. I would strongly recommend him if you want fast results and fun classes that you will look forward to each week.

I highly recommend KyongSup. He is very patient and encouraging. I always feel like I'm learning a lot because his explanations are clear and his method makes grammatical structures easy to remember.
