Alexis is an excellent teacher. He's well organized and systematic in his methods. He combines short lessons, examples, in-class exercises, occasional videos, and homework to make the process both effective and enjoyable. He's patient but isn't afraid to challenge the student in a positive, supportive way. As a bonus, he occasionally takes the time to illuminate the linguistic origins of words and grammatical constructions in a way that that adds to the student's knowledge and understanding. I find my hour with Alexis flies by!

Alexis has an incredible grasp not just of Spanish but also a broader linguistic background that informs his teaching. After only a couple lessons I have a lot of confidence that he not only knows where I'm starting from, but will accomodate my specific goals and process/method requests (I want a mentor/guide as much as an 'hour at a time' tutor), and has a good idea where I could be down the road and how he can help me get there. I'm very impressed and grateful !

I have completed 7 lessons with Alexis so far. He has done a great job of making the learning plan specific to where I am at having some previous Spanish experience. He always brings a positive attitude to each session and holds me as the student accountable. Definitely would recommend Alexis as a Spanish tutor to my friends and colleagues.
