I am native Dutch and I have taught Dutch as a second language for more than 17 years.
I have experience with all levels, all ages and people from all over the world. They all have been very successful in improving their language skills and/or passing their exams.
My lessons are based on speaking the language but we will have a look at grammar, reading, listening and writing as well. I will make you feel comfortable to speak Dutch and we will have a lot of fun.
I can help you with your grammar, reading, speaking, listening and writing. I can also help you prepare for the Inburgeringsexam. I have lots of material, books for level A0 tot C1, preparation exercises for the inburgeringsexams and NT2.
I always consider the individual needs of my students and adapt my lessons to their level and needs. Teaching for me is not just a job it is something that I really enjoy doing.

I studied Dutch with Helen. She took me from zero knowledge to someone who could hold a good standard of conversation with Dutch friends and to be able to understand conversations around me. My written Dutch was also of a standard that enabled me to construct e-mails in Dutch and to hold some business meetings also in Dutch. A patient and fun teacher. You will not be disappointed.

Helen has been keeping my Dutch from going rusty (while steadily improving it), on a weekly basis, for a number of years now. I have never considered looking elsewhere, and I can thoroughly recommend her to anyone looking for an excellent Dutch teacher.
