I am a qualified English teacher from the USA currently living in Spain. I have more than eight years of experience and have worked in five countries!

1. How can I help you?

 I offer a mix of classes including Conversation, Grammar, Cambridge Prep, and Business. I focus on student-output and try to make a learner feel as comfortable as possible in the online environment. 

I really encourage you to look at your Speaking skills and comfort. I find that even advanced students benefit from general conversation which I will happily guide.

2. What method do you use?

Together, we will decide what are your goals for the class. Then, I use a mix of multimedia (video, audio, online games) and tradition coursework. 

Alongside working online, I also am an ESL teacher in a Spanish school.

Excellent! Join a class and share what you want to improve, focus on, learn and together. I am here to facilitate learning and make sure you see personal growth.

4. I am nervous to start learning English.

Personally, I have been studying Spanish for many years. I know it can cause anxiety to speak in another language. But the best thing to do is just start! Be clear with your goals, time frame, and intentions and go from there.

5. What are you interested in? Are we similar?

I have a love of travelling, and have combined my job (ESL teacher) with this hobby. I also spend a lot of time at the beach and hiking. But don't forget, it can assist in interesting conversations if we have different interests.

Hi there! My name is Alessia and I'm a certified English teacher from Canada. I've been living in Lucca, Italy for the past seven years and I love it! 

I've been teaching for over seven years now. In 2016 I completed my TESOL certificate and shortly thereafter began teaching at a private elementary school. I've worked with people ages 5-55 and my favourite thing about teaching is getting to know people from different cultures and learning all about their customs and traditions. My second favourite thing is seeing my students succeed and achieve their language goals! 

My approach to teaching depends on the individual needs of my students. Each lesson is customized to the unique goals of my students. That being said, you can definitely expect homework in my classes! For conversation lessons, we'll focus on using media to expand your vocabulary and spend the entire lesson speaking about different topics. For those who need a grammar brush-up, we'll use various books to support your learning but still focus on conversation to help you fully integrate what you've just learned! 

I also have experience preparing students for the IELTS exam for both immigration and academic purposes. I absolutely love the IELTS exam in that it provides students with a real challenge and something to aspire to. I have a wide variety of resources that I use to help you prepare which cover everything from grammar and vocabulary to the actual "how-to's" of writing the exam. If you are interested in working with me on exam prep, I suggest AT LEAST 3-6 months to prepare properly for the exam since you'll not only need to improve your language skills but also your exam-taking skills.

I gained my CELTA in 2020 and I have been teaching English ever since, sometimes on-site at St George's International, a North London College, but more often, online, at home, which I really enjoy!

My method; I like to keep to a lesson plan, but only because that gives a class a good structure, making it simpler for students to understand the small part of the language we are focusing on. I keep it interesting by using various tools, like videos, audio tracks, images and games etc.

Aside from teaching I'm an actress and voiceover artist, - I have a strong interest in film and the arts, and occasionally it's fun reading dialogues or using stories/ scripts with students. 

I also travelled quite a lot in my twenties, and love to learn about different cultures and interests,  - I'm interested in what you want from the English language. 

My name is Tutor Renee. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, although my professional background is in Marketing and Communication. I am an online English teacher and have been for three years. I teach both children and adults.

I love making English fun and simple. I ensure that my students are confident enough to speak and write English. My students excel and pass their IELTS and TOEFL exams.

I focus on both oral and written skills. I speak slowly so that my students gain a good understanding of what I am teaching.

I've been an English tutor for 4 years, both with Foreign Exchange Students in person as well as online. Do you need to improve your English? I have tried-and-tested methods to help ESL students become more fluent and confident. I have a degree in education, a TEFL/TESL certificate, and an Online Teaching certificate with lots of experience. I have also authored English textbooks and study guides for children in the primary school.  

My approach is holistic. I use interesting topics, pronunciation drills and language videos to help develop fluency AND accuracy. I am patient and very encouraging as I believe students learn best when they feel relaxed. I've had great results with many students aiming to get to a new English level or maintain a high level. With advanced students, I like to discuss complex topics and deal with work-related issues.  

I have lived in South Africa my whole life but have been fortunate to travel to many countries and experience many different cultures and of course, delicious dishes. I enjoy the outdoors and spending time with family and friends. I also love keeping up to date with current affairs including sport, politics, and arts and culture. Apart from being a dedicated teacher, I am also a wife, a mother and proud dog owner! I look forward to meeting you and being part of your language learning journey.
