I am a native Italian teacher specialized in tutoring Italian for beginners, intermediate and advanced learners. I have been working since 2016 for several agencies and for the Foreign & Commonwealth Office in London teaching Italian from scratch. I am also a CILS tutor and exam administrator.
I hold a Bachelor in Linguistics and Italian as a second language and also worked for the publishing of an Italian Collocations Dictionary for Italian learners.
My objective is to keep students challenged but not overwhelmed. I also like to keep lessons engaging, fun and fresh. My students say I am patient and friendly: I do think it is very important to feel safe and supported when learning a new language. Liliana is an incredible teacher. She is quickly able to figure out where you need help and focus on developing those skills, which is incredibly valuable...her dedication to getting you up the learning curve is immediately evident in her approach. I have just started lessons with Liliana after studying with a different tutor who is no longer teaching. Must admit that I was a bit nervous starting with a new instructor but Liliana is so enthusiastic and welcoming that I immediately felt very comfortable. I had booked a trial lesson earlier so she knew approximately what my level was and the transition was seamless.
