I was born and grew up in Korea. I speak Korean natively and I have learned English, Japanese and Spanish by heart either through formal educations or extensive travel. I spent over ten years living, working and travelling oversea. All four languages are tools to help facilitate our learning process.  

I have passion for teaching languages and I love helping people learn Korean. I believe I have natural abilities to teach languages that I can communicate very well with people regardless of one's backgrounds.  I am gentle, attentive and open-minded. I've been teaching Korean for years at private language schools and volunteer organizations(NGO) in various countries and currently, going through a course to be certified. it is called 'Certificate of Korean Language teacher 한국어교원 자격증'

I will be speaking to you in Korean during the lesson unless you're a beginner. We will discuss it in more details on the first lesson. (speaking ratio between Korean and other languages to explain).  whether you never learned any foreign languages or not, I will help you build the foundations, boost your motivation and to be more confident in speaking.  

In this online learning platform, the lessons have to be highly interactive. To be able to do that, I want the lessons to be 80-95% conversational.  Interactive communication is the key to improving overall Korean language and it enables you to learn more practical and colloquial Korean.  that being said, I will also cover grammar and usage of Korean, let alone conversational elements. I will promise you that the lesson will be educational, useful, street-smart and informative. Each lesson, You'll be learning conversations in certain places. Imagine, you're actually in that place and you need to speak Korean to get what you want. we can also talk about certain topics such as social issues, life in general in Korea etc.  I have charts, dialogues, topics to discuss and roleplay materials ready for the first-time learner and experienced learners. plus, I have a physical whiteboard right behind me to support explanations in more details.

Hello, My name is Emily. I was born and raised in South Korea however I currently live in Canada. Like many Korean and anyone interested in learning Korean language, I am a big fan of K-TV shows, K-pop groups. 안녕하세요!   Hello, everyone.  I am Juyoung, a Korean Tutor. I was born, raised and educated in Seoul, the capital of South Korea. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Korean Language and literature and completed the Korean Teacher Education Program. I also have 6 years of teaching experience.  

My experience living in India, Laos, Egypt, and Belgium as a foreigner has given me a deep understanding of different cultures and people. Language is a product of its culture, so learning a language requires an understanding of each other's differences based on our shared humanity.

Most of the students who started studying with me became more fluent and accurate Korean speakers. During the lesson, I successfully encourage students to use Korean from an early stage on. My teaching style helps students improve their conversational Korean and speak naturally. I will teach you expressions and phrases to sound like a native speaker.

I understand that every student is different and learns at their own pace. As a teacher, it is my job to find the best solution to help you improve.
